Perfperc – Complete Bundle is a set of cinematic and world percussion, focusing on multi-samples captured from repeated performance phrases. There is an emphasis on start-time consistency and timbral cohesion between RRs, wrapped up in a performance-sourced repetition approach, which in percussion leads to a natural flow between notes, tighter playing, and more uniform dynamics. In addition, there is significance placed on making the velocity response predictable and smooth, aided by very wide dynamic range on most patches. Finally “playable rolls,” which are samples captured from very fast phrases, allow rapid, repeating passages.
